Chris has a unique relationship with many individuals throughout the book. His first relationship is with Jim Gallien. He is very nice to him, but refuses most of his help. He also drives Chris to the Denali National Park. Ken Thompson, Gordon Samel, and Ferdie Swanson were moose hunting when they came accross a bus with two people looking frightened at it. They then found Chris's corpse rotting. This was not so much of a relationship as it was a discovery. Chris also had a very apparent relationship with Westerberg. They were friends in acity called Carthage. He gave him work when he came by as a hitchhiker on his journey to Alaska and never had anything bad to say about him. Chris also had a fantastic relationship with his family. They really loved him. He also had a relationship with Jan Burres and Bob. He had a meeting with them in near Willow Creek. They were really concerned about him and his random disappearance. Thomas and Carin, a german couple, helped Chris along the way. Zarza had a different relationship with him. He noticed that Chris was a slow worker in the restraunt he was hired at. The last relationship he has was with Tracy.
